How to Put it Together

  1. Once you've removed all the hardware and parts from the package place the Mounting Studs through the rack from the bottom and secure the top with the 5/8 in. screws.
  2. After you've measured out exactlly where the chock will be mounted, place the chock on this place and trace out the two Mounting Studs, making sure that there is enough room for the motorcycle as well as the straps for securing your bike. This will be used to assist in affixing Spacer Plates and Mounting Plates to your platform.
  3. Now that you have the position of your chock marked on your platform place the Mounting Plate over the Spacer Plate so that you can see where you marked the position of the chock through the plates and align the pre-drilled holes in preparation for drilling, mark these holes with a pencil or pen.
  4. Having made these alignments and marks, go ahead and use a 1/4 in. drill bit to punch out a hole for each mark (you should have 4 marks) through which you will place the 2 in. mounting screws.
  5. Place the Mounting Plate over the Spacer Plate again after you've drilled your holes and place your 2 in. mounting screws down through the top of your platform and secure them underneath with a washer and locking nut. Important Note: Make sure that the larger rounded end of the Mounting Plate is pointing toward the rear of your platform. This will insure that the chock is locked in to place when it's moved forward.
  6. Now that you've completed assembly, place your chock in to the Mounting Plate on your platform to insure a good fit. Once the chock is in place, you can move your motorcycle in to the chock, and in combination with your tie-down straps secure your bike to your platform. Make sure that your tie-down straps are pulling the bike and chock in to the locked position for maximum stability and security.
